Genshin Impact Claymore Guide

Latest posts by Trey McCoy (see all)

Genshin Impact is an award-winning, open-world journey. You are one of two siblings fighting to find the other. Set in a beautiful fantasy world, you will travel to gather information and help NPCs along the way. You get a helpful sidekick named Paimon, a great storyline, and weapons!

Swords, Bows, Claymores, Catalysts, and Polearms are the selection of weapons you get to choose from in this fantastic RPG game. In this Genshin Impact Claymore guide, I will give you a glimpse of the wonderful selection of weapons and then focus on the hard-hitting Claymores. We will explore their rarities, stats, strengths, and many bonuses.

    Weapons

What weapon you use is very important to your fighting style. Below I will list the weapons and their advantages to having them.

    Where to Get You One

After you get your hands on a claymore, you will want to make it stronger. Genshin Impact uses a gacha system to give you a lot of their powerful weapons. Claymore Rarity is scaled from 1 to 5 stars. With the Wonderlust Invocation and the limited banner, you will get the chance to obtain a 5-star weapon. 4 to 3-star wishes will appear on the standard banner.

Your little sidekick Paimon has a side hustle called Paimon’s Bargains, where you can get a 4-star also. Blacksmiths will make you a weapon, and the lower-tier swords can be found in chests and talking to NPCs.

Special events are held from time to time, and you can receive a weapon if you complete the task. You can also get weapons from Stellar Reunion, Battle Pass, the mail, some Archon quests, and at the Adventures’ Guild.

    Stat Bonuses

Weapons that are 3-stars or higher have bonuses to improve your character’s stats. Your shiny new claymore will help to increase any of your ATK, DEF, HP, Crit rate and damage, elemental mastery, energy recharge, and physical damage stats.

If you want to increase the power of your passive buffs, you will have to refine your weapon. To refine your weapon, all you have to do is find copies of your claymore and go to the refine screen under the Enhance button.

    Claymore

When you just want more. Claymore! Below I list them all. Compare and decide which one works best for you. If you can’t choose, just find the one that hits the hardest and you’ll be fine.

    FAQ

Question: What is the Best 4-Star Claymore in Genshin Impact?

Answer: The Favonius Greatsword is the best 4-star weapon. If you use this weapon, critical hits are coming. It will create energy particles to help your character continue to use their power moves.

Question: Which Claymore Should I Have the Blacksmith Make?

Answer: Prototype Archaic is the one to go with. You have to grab and bring the blacksmith a Northlander Claymore Billet, 50 crystal chunks, and 50 white iron chunks. You get a 50% chance of dealing 240% additional attack damage. It’s going to be hard to give up this sword.

Question: Is Genshin Impact Weapons Banner Worth Wishing On?

Answer: In the early games, you want to wish for characters. Getting the right team is important. Once you get enough characters, you can pull for a 5-star weapon to complete your character build. Make sure you have enough Primogems to do it.

    Final Thoughts

You will never run out of weapons in Genshin Impact, and I know there are more coming. Claymore’s advantages are its power, ability to fight groups, and bigger enemies. I mean, who wants to be hit by one of those. The element enhancement you get from Claymores is game-changing and almost a little OP in some situations. I mean, look at Razor. Just a beast. My recommendation, in most situations, is to have a Claymore user on your team.
