Razor Genshin Impact Guide

Razor Genshin Impact Guide

I know you came here to talk about Razor but first, let’s talk about the setting:

Genshin Impact is an open-world RPG that is beautiful in every single way. You go on an epic adventure to fight the evil Abass Order. As the player, you will continue to meet interesting new characters and collect some to join your team. Each character has unique moves and abilities that set them apart and are fun to get. I’ll cross my fingers for you.

Why You’re Here

In this Razor Genshin Impact guide, I am going to talk about Razor. His talents, the best weapons to use, and what characters fight best alongside him. I will also go over his consolations and what artifacts he should have. By the time we finish learning about him, you will want two of him.

Razor Genshin Impact

Details about Razor

Abandoned as an infant and raised by wolves; Razor is a dynamic electro character that may fit your team perfectly. Who doesn’t love a wild child!

  • Title: Razor
  • Nationality: Mondstadt
  • Affiliation: Wolvendom
  • Rarity: 4 Star
  • Weapon type: Claymore
  • Element: Electro
  • Birthday: September 9

You will meet Razor in a quest in Act 1 called ‘The Meaning of Lupical.’ You and Paimon will go to a remote area west of Mondstadt called Wolvendom. It’s Wolves Territory. Not many people visit, and when you get there, you will see why. Paimon explains how the law of nature rules this area. And as soon as she mentions trouble, it shows up.

During a heated battle with some slimes, you will be overwhelmed. But then, out of the sky, like a lightning bolt, Razor appears. He lands in a superhero pose and scares away the remaining slimes. When he turns and takes one look at you, it will be plain to see that he is your destiny.

With broken speech, he tells you all about himself, and you embark on a quest that is exciting and has an ending you will enjoy. To get Razor for yourself, you have two ways to get him. You can get him through a gacha pull. Making wishes to get characters or weapons is how the gacha system works. Standard Wish banner, Character Event Wish banner, and the Weapon Event Wish banner are a few ways to get wishes.

Another way to get Razor is to go to Paimon’s Bargains. It’s a shop that offers Materials, wishing items, characters, and weapons. There are three forms of currency in this shop. Masterless Starglitter, Masterless Stardust, or Primogems. You can use those to exchange for Razor when he appears.

Ascension Details

In this section, I will show you how to make Razor everything he was meant to be. The max level is 90, and you will need a lot of material to make this happen.

The fun part about searching for all the resources is that you get to try him out. Find out what team combinations work with your playstyle. Let me list the materials needed to make this happen.

Level Base HP Base ATK Base DEF Energy Ascension %
1 1,003 20 63 0%
20 3,326 97 313 0%
40 5,514 108 346 7.5 %
50 7,052 138 443 15.0 %
60 8,413 164 528 15.0 %
70 9,773 191 613 22.5 %
80 11,134 217 699 30.0 %
90 11,962 234 751 30.0 %

The material you will need are as followed:

Mora

420,000 Mora. Mora is the main currency in the world of Teyvat. You use it to purchase items in the various shops and vendors. Mora is named after Geo Archon Morax. There are many ways to get Mora in Genshin Impact.

Lightning Prism

46 Lightning Prism. A Level 30+ Electro Hypostasis drops this. They can be found south of Cape Oath in Mondstadt. It’s a huge cube with a glowing core. That is what you want to hit. But you have to be patient.

He will leave an opening for you to strike. When you beat Electro Hypostasis, you will have to spend 40 Original Resin to get the Lightning Prism.

Vajrada Amethyst Silver

1 Vajrada Amethyst Silver. Electro characters drop this purple stone. It’s also can be obtained through Alchemy, sold by Marjorie and Xingxi, commission bonus rewards, and Parametric Transformer.

Vajrada Amethyst Fragment

9 Vajrada Amethyst Fragment. Normal and weekly bosses above level 40 will give a fragment when defeated. You can get it from alchemy and Parametric Transformer.

Vajrada Amethyst Chunk

9 Vajrada Amethyst Chunk. The only way to get this chunk of rock is to either use alchemy or defeat normal and weekly bosses.

Vajrada Amethyst Gemstone

6 Vajrada Amethyst Gemstone. You will receive this object from normal and weekly bosses once defeated. You can also use alchemy to get the gemstone.

Wolfhook

168 Wolfhook. This spiky berry can be discovered in Wolvendom. You can also get it from Chioris, the NPC who wonders about the Windrise area.

Damaged Mask

18 Damaged Mask. Hilichurls randomly drop this broken bone mask after they are defeated.

Stained Mask

30 Stained Mask. The stain-covered bone mask is found dropped by a level 40 or high Hilichurls.

Ominous Mask

36 Ominous Mask. This painted bone mask is only dropped by Hilichurls at level 60 and above.

Most materials like Wolfhook and Stained Mask will be easy to get, but some resources are slightly challenging depending on your level. Don’t worry if you can’t get to level 90 because Razor is stronger than most at level 80.

Razor does better when he is the one dealing majority of the damage. His talents and constellations upgrades do not assist him in being used as support. We will dive into his fight moves and what makes him a star.

Elemental Talents

Steel Fang

Normal Attack

Smash the attack button four times in a row to get a nice combo.

Charged Attack

Using stamina, you can swing around with Razor, landing multiple hits. It does take a second for him to crank up the hit, so make sure you have time. Razor dizzy.

Plunging Attack

Plunging is when you are in the air and attack by striking down. A small area around the point of impact will damage enemies.

Claw and Thunder

Elemental Skill

An electro attack is an excellent change of pace and helps with elemental reactions.

Press

A quick elemental slash to catch the enemy off guard. Thunder Wolf Claw is great for fighting enemies in front of you. You will obtain Electro Sigils during this attack which will help his energy recharge rate.

Hold

If you hold the elemental skill attack, you will unleash a lightning blast consuming a small area around you. It’s perfect for fighting groups or adding elemental reaction to a group standing in fire.

Lightning Fang:

Elemental Burst

This is the move that will bring the team out of danger. You summon an electro wolf who will then become your hands and power. Each elemental slash is a powerful blow. You will get a rise in your attack speed and electro resistance. Elemental Burst will end when the duration has been exhausted or if he leaves the field for a team member.

Awakening

1st Ascension Passive

Decreases cooldown for Claw and Thunder by 18%. If you use Lightning Fang, it will reset the cooldown of Claw and Thunder.

Hunger

4th Ascension Passive

If your energy is below 50%, Hunger will increase the energy recharge by 30%.

Wolvensprint

Utility Passive

The sprinting stamina consumption for your group will decrease by 20%. Passive traits will not stack if they provide the same effect.

Constellations

Constellations

It is time to take Zodiac to a whole new level. Howling at the moon has never been so good! We will use the stars to enhance your character’s skills with Razors’ Stella Fortuna.

Razor’s Stella Fortuna is the material you get from wishing on banners.  You will get his constellation activation material when you wish and get a duplicate Razor. They won’t let you have two Razors. Too OP. The second way to get it is Paimon’s Bargains. Because she is riding with me, I think we should get a 100% discount.

LEVEL 1: Wolf’s instinct

Grabbing an Elemental Orb or Particle will increase Razor’s damage by 10% for 8 seconds.

LEVEL 2: Suppression

Enemies with less than 30% HP will give you an increase in your CRIT Rate by 10%

LEVEL 3: Soul Companion

Lightning Fang will increase by 3 with a maximum upgrade of 15.

LEVEL 4: Bite

Getting hit with Claw and Thunder will have the enemy’s defense down by 15% for 7 seconds.

LEVEL 5: Sharpened Claws

Claw and Thunder will increase by 3 with a maximum upgrade of 15.

LEVEL 6: Lupus Fulguris

In 10-second increments, Razor’s sword will get an electro charge. He will release lightning causing electro damage on his next normal attack at 100% of his attack on his next normal attack. Razor will get Electro Sigil for Claw and Thunder for every lightning strike on an opponent. This effect doesn’t work if you are using Lightning Fang.

We have gone through a lot to level Razor up, and we haven’t even talked about the equipped items to make him even more efficient. Next, we will talk about ways to increase his stats even more.

Artifacts

You will find these objects scattered worldwide in chests, enemy drops, and boss rewards. You can also get artifacts from Domains of Blessing and Spiral Abyss. NPCs sometimes sell 2-star artifacts. These shiny items can boost your stat, but they also have additional bonuses that you will get. You will receive a bonus by equipping two or four of the same type.

Which artifacts you should use will depend on you. Your playstyle is a key factor in this decision. Some players like to enhance their elemental damage, and some want to increase their hitting power. Check out the Genshin Impact Artifacts Guide to see all the artifacts and their abilities so that you can make that decision.

There are five artifact types to choose from: Flower of Life, Sands of Eon, Goblet of Eonothem, and Circlet of Logos. To see all the artifacts and details about them, check them out here. Below, I will show you what I use, which can give you a headstart on what artifact to choose.

Pale Flame: 4-Piece Set

Pale Flame: 4-Piece Set

Using only two Palm Flames is excellent for adding 25% damage to your attacks. I use four because the bonus after you hit an enemy with an Elemental Skill, your attack increases by 9% for 7 seconds. You can stack this effect two times. Once you get past two stacks, the second bonus effect increases by 100%

Echoes of an Offering: 4-piece set

Echoes of an Offering: 4-piece set

There is a 36% chance that Valley Rite will trigger when you hit the enemy with a normal attack. This effect will increase your normal attack damage by 70%. If it fails to activate Valley Rite, the odds increase by 20% and will occur every 0.2 seconds.

Gladiator’s Finale: 4-Piece set

Gladiator's Finale: 4-Piece set

If you can’t find any of the two above, go with Gladiator’s Finale. It will increase your normal attack by 35% damage.

Weapons

So many weapons to choose from, so little time. Weapons are essential to increasing your stats and adding to your power. You can choose whatever you want, but I got a nose for these things.

I have always liked a weapon that can enhance my team’s elemental abilities. You can get a sword weapon made by the blacksmith, but I will show you some that he can’t make.

Serpent Spine: Four-star

Serpent Spine: Four-star

Wavesplitter

As long as you are on the field with this sword, you will deal 6% more damage and take 3% damage. Talk about a double edge sword. This effect can stack five times and doesn’t reset when you switch Razor out. But every time Razor takes damage, the stack will reduce by one.

Team Combos

Time to put together the Wolf Pack! It is time to build a team around your star wolf boy and help his heavy-hitting abilities work to your advantage. Always consider the elements that the rest of your team is using. Combining elements in your attack creates more significant damage to your opponents. This is called an elemental reaction.

Team 1

Razor

Amber

Amber

Xangling

Traveler Geo heashot

Traveler

This team set is more of an overload build. You want to use Xangling and Amber to lay down the fire. Use the traveler to spread the fire out and come in with Razor to apply the electro. Then walk away from the enemy and don’t look back at the explosion.

Team 2

Razor

Razor

Kaeya

Kaeya

Xiangling

Barbara

Barbara

You have a few plays out of this build for elemental reactions. You have Electro and Cyro, Pyro and Cryo, and Hydro and Pyro. One way is to use Kaeya and then hit with Xangling to get a Melt effect. Have Razor come in and clean up. After that, use Barbara’s Hydro effect and then come back in with Xangling Pyro. Then bring Razor back in with some Electro for the final blow.

Team 3

Razor

Razor

Kaeya

Kaeya

Venti

Venti

Xiangling headshot

Xangling

With this team combo, we will take advantage of the Anemo Venti. First, we will use Kaeya to create a nice Cyro effect. Then Venti will spread the element to the rest of the enemies because his Anemo attack has a huge AOE. Then we will use Xangling to hit them multiple times with her Pyronado. And then have Razor come in with some Electro at the end and finish it with his claymore sword. Fun times.

There are a lot of questions surrounding Razor. He likes the smell of rabbits; He loves playing fetch. Meat to him is delicious. But what are the questions on everyone’s mind about him? The answers you are looking for may be below.

FAQ

Question: Is Razor a Good Support Character in Genshin Impact?

Answer: Razor wants to be supportive to everyone, but honestly, he is made to be the main fighter. Using him with Cyro and Pyro characters helps take advantage of his abilities. But I like him to come in and clean up after the rest of the team uses their elements and is in a cooldown.

Question: Why Does Razor Talk Like He Does?

Answer: Being raised by wolves, he didn’t have the advantages of getting the normal education that helps with speech, reading, and writing. One thing he can do, though, he can grow out a nice head of hair.

Answer: There is no information on whether they are, but they do have to hang out. They both were adopted, and if you look into their relationships in the character tab, you will find out that Bennett has cooked for Razor. Razor says he is still hungry.

Final Thoughts

I think Razor is one of the strongest 4-star characters you could get. He’s a fan favorite with Discords and Reddits dedicated to him. His power can help take down big bosses and farm for the material.

Razor can make quick work of enemies by himself when you are just trying to get through a quest or a stage. Cool moves and great at breaking up stones when you need them. Razors are my pick when it comes time to choose an Alpha.
