I’ve been playing Genhsin Impact for quite some time. Having gone through numerous world quests by now, I would say that the Aranyaka world quest line might be the most challenging one out there. There are other gigantic world quests, like the Chi of Yore and the Nine Pillars of Peace. Still, nothing comes close to the enormous plot the Aranyaka world quest series features. It’s not about the hardship you face against enemies but the time commitment you need to devote to completing the quest. Confusing underground tunnels, massive underground regions with maze-like structures, and a ton of objectives, the Aranyaka world quest torments players.
I was initially bamboozled, but eventually, I completed this quest. When I took a breath and enjoyed the feeling of relief after completing it, I was handed a book that had sequels to the major quests, and guess what? I had to find 76 Aranara. At that moment I thought ‘Oh, c’mon, the number of the Aranara is higher than the Anemoculi I found in Mondstadt’. That’s not a way to treat your players, Hoyoverse.
To help you in this sadistic quest, in this Genshin Impact All Wild Aranara Location guide, I will share the location of all 76 Aranara that can be found in the wild. Wherever they are, we will find them together, and I will ensure that you unlock those locked chests that await as a much deserved reward. Grab your Vintage Lyre, Traveler. We are about to begin one of the biggest search operations Teyvat has ever seen.
Prerequisites: Do What Must Be Done
I believe some prerequisites should be completed before you start collecting the Aranara. Some Aranara are locked behind certain quests, and you need to ace through them to finally unlock those 15 chests. So to make sure you aren’t consistently sidetracked like I was, here is a list of all the prerequisites you need to sort out before taking on this arduous task:
- Aranyaka World quest series
- Static Views, both parts 1 and 2 featuring the mysterious clipboard
- The Legend of the Stone Lock
- Forest Adventure Journal tasks
- Dream Nursery
- Varuna Gatha sequel
- Agnihotra Sutra sequel
- Vimana Agama sequel
- Someone’s Message
I’m a free-willed adventurer. I like to unlock the areas first to make my exploration easier. Sometimes those areas have resources that can be used in certain quests or trigger world quests of their own. That’s why I highly recommend progressing through the whole Aranara quest series. If you are an impatient adventurer, you can complete the Dream Nursery quest and give straight into the search operation.
They Come in Varieties
- Music-Loving Aranara – These Aranara can be found in the wild singing their songs. You have to equip your Vintage Lyre and play the Rhythm that will flash on the screen. Once you complete the melody, you will receive talent books or Mora as a reward. The melody is soothing, and you would love to play the Rhythms alongside the Aranaras.

A collection of Rhythms you will collect throughout the storyline.
- Material-Collecting Aranara – You simply have to give some material to these Aranara. After successfully submitting the required items, you will receive talents books or Mora after submission. Some Aranara do give you rewards that you could use to submit. However, I’d suggest collecting anything shining in the distance to replenish your inventory.
- Reckless Aranara – You have to save the Aranara from enemies near them. There will be Abyss mages, Eremites, Hilichurls, or Treasure Hoarders near them. Once you hear their call for help, you can defeat the enemies to save them. You will receive Mora, flowers, or fruits as a reward.
- Mischievous Aranara – These Aranara will be tough to find. Playing hide-and-seek with the Traveler, you must find them using a special seed mirror lens on top of towers. Once you climb the tower, you have to activate the seed mirror lens to see the hidden Aranara. Finding them rewards you with nothing.
- Confused Aranara– They remind me of my university days when I was buried under a pile of assignments. Confused, sleepy, and sitting in one place. You must apply the Dendro element on these Aranara and wake them up from their slumber. You will be rewarded with Mora, flowers, or fruits after interacting with them.
- Aranara Games– A few named Aranara will have prepared some games for the Traveler. These unique games will reward the player with a Common chest on completion, and you have to find them in the overworld. Unlike other Aranara, these Aranara have names like Arachanda, Arapratap, Aradanish, or Aragita.
Once you complete the required tasks, you can investigate the locations where Aranara were and find some radishes, carrots, cabbages, and other food items. Quite an excellent way to stock up on some resources while searching for the Aranara. If you are like me, who sometimes forgets what to do, follow the hints that Paimon gives you. There will be visible cues for the tasks, and Paimon will indicate the Traveler to perform an action.
Let the Hunt Begin
Let’s go through all the Aranara locations and start interacting with every single one of them.

I’ve categorised the Aranara according to this map. I will also show the routes that I followed and attach them in relevant sections. For the sake of simplicity, I’ll follow an area-wise approach.

- Dendro Sigils
Useful Resources
As a player, I do get that sometimes it’s possible to miss things when following a guide. If you are confused about some of Aranara’s locations, you can cross-reference with the Official Genshin Impact map. I missed out on the #56 Music-Loving Aranara, and spent multiple hours trying to find the missing one.
This is a great supplementary resource, but sadly, there are no comment sections or mini-guides within the map, so aside from a pinpoint location, you will still need to solve the Aranara puzzles for yourself. However, if you have the luxury of a two-screen setup, then it’s a great resource to have at hand.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: How many Aranara are there in the game?
Answer: There are 76 Aranara in the game that you must collect in the Sumeru region. Once you collect them, you will be able to open 15 chests.
Question: How do I know which Aranara is missing?
Answer: I suggest keeping track of Aranara on the Official Genshin Impact map. You can follow the guide and mark the Aranara on the map. I used this method to verify the Aranara I collected.
Question: How long do all Aranara quests and collecting the Aranara take to complete?
Answer: I would say it’ll take you a few days to complete the quests and collect all the Aranara. As far as I remember, the Static views world quest is time-gated, meaning you have to wait 24 hours before you can end the quest. If you are speedrunning, it will take you around 2-3 days, and for a casual player, I’d say dedicate a week or two.
Sayonara, Aranara!
Oh Lord, have mercy on me, was the first thought that came to my mind when I realised that I was missing an Aranara. I was so sure I had them all, but alas, one little critter escaped me, and thus began my search for the last Aranara. It nearly broke me, it really did!.
This was so different from grinding Oculi. At least with those, they pop up on the mini-map. With these deceptively evil little mushrooms, you have to find them out in the wild. I damn near thought I had taken some wacky mushrooms of my own. I was hallucinating, seeing them all over Sumeru. I see them in my dreams now. I’m mentally scarred. They do look cute, fluffy, and jolly, but finding them is a monstrous task.
I could rant all day, but I’ll save that for another time. The good news is, thanks to this guide, you won’t have to endure the pain I went through. I hope this guide helps you collect all those Aranara in rapid fashion. Plus, I would suggest going over our other guides on the site to learn about exquisite Gadgets like the Vintage Lyre. Perhaps, you are interested in Quest items, worry not, we have a section on that and before I go, do check your favorite character’s guide. Thanks for reading guys!
